Do you need support to refine your direction, to navigate change or to achieve your creative goals? I can help you!

Beverley the Slow Coach

As a creative entrepreneur with an ADHD brain that is constantly firing on all cylinders (and in all directions), I know how it feels to want to do all of the things and to want to do them all now. I also know the frustration of working with limited energy, within the constraints of complex family dynamics and whilst navigating trauma, divorce, bereavement, illness and burnout.

When we’re constantly fire-fighting or distracted, it is easy to feel that other people are getting ahead and that we’re being left behind but my own experience has taught me that sometimes slowing down is the fastest way to get to a destination and that a life spent chasing the trappings of success is not always a fulfilled one.

What if you could look after your wellbeing, enjoy the journey and still achieve your goals? Good news! You can!

My brand of Slow Coaching:

Honours your history and limitations

Prioritises wellbeing

Emphasises process as well as product

Uses creative approaches (including writing and art) to identify your values, goals and the steps needed to achieve them.

Supports you to build a life that is full of meaning, purpose, joy and authenticity.

“I would never have felt confident to say “I’m a writer” but I can now. I cannot thank or recommend Beverley enough”

~ Tracey Ford

I trained as a coach with RD1st in 2012 and and have been working as a coach for the last twenty years. Over those years I have experienced multiple personal challenges which have led me to explore new approaches to wellbeing including mindfulness, breathwork and art.

I specialise in coaching writers and other creative people, but I am able to offer coaching on all aspects of a client’s personal and professional life, whatever their skills, goals and circumstances.

I have a particular interest in helping people to move forward following bereavement or other trauma and in working with older women and single parents, neurodivergent individuals and those with creative dreams that they want to pursue or stories that they want to tell.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a form of self-directed learning which enables you to reflect on what you want to achieve in your life and to make concrete plans to achieve your goals.

The coach is there to work alongside you to help you to uncover the next steps towards creating the life that you want to live.

I have personally found coaching to be extremely valuable in my own life, for my career as a writer, coach and facilitator and in helping me to rebuild following mulitple challenges.
